Define a new material and apply it to the mullions<br />

23 Zoom in to view the curtain wall mullions.<br />

24 Click Settings menu ➤ Materials.<br />

You create a black anodized aluminum material, and apply it to the mullions of the pool house<br />

wall.<br />

25 In the Materials dialog, select Metal - Aluminum.<br />

You use an existing material as a template to create the black anodized aluminum material.<br />

26 At the bottom left corner of the Materials dialog, click (Duplicate).<br />

27 In the Duplicate Revit Material dialog, for Name, enter Metal - Aluminum, Anodized - Black,<br />

and click OK.<br />

28 On the Graphics tab of the Materials dialog, select Use Render Appearance for Shading.<br />

By selecting this option, the color used for this material in shaded views is an average color<br />

defined by the render appearance.<br />

29 On the Render Appearance tab, click Replace.<br />

30 In the Render Appearance Library, click Aluminum Anodized Black, and click OK.<br />

31 On the Graphics tab of the Materials dialog, review the material appearance (color and pattern),<br />

and click OK.<br />
