72 Select the slab, and in the Type Selector, select Floor: 160mm Concrete with 50mm Metal Deck.<br />

73 On the View Control toolbar, do the following:<br />

■ For Scale, select 1:10.<br />

■ For Detail Level, select Fine.<br />

■ For Model Graphic Style, select Wireframe.<br />

Apply the custom family to the metal deck<br />

74 Click the Window menu, and open the new family file.<br />

The file should still be open. If it is not, open the file from the saved folder location.<br />

75 On the Families Design Bar, click Load into Project.<br />

The new non-composite metal deck family is loaded into the slab project. If there are multiple<br />

files open, select the slab project from the available files.<br />

76 Select the slab, and on the Options Bar, click .<br />

77 In the Element Properties dialog, click Edit/New.<br />

78 In the Type Properties dialog, under Construction, select Edit for Structure.<br />

79 In the Edit Assembly dialog, do the following.<br />

■ Under Layers, select Layer 3.<br />

■ Under Structural Deck Properties, for Deck profile, select the new metal deck profile file.<br />

■ Click OK.<br />

80 In the Type Properties dialog, click OK.<br />

81 In the Element Properties dialog, click OK.<br />

82 In the Project Browser, under Sections, double-click Section 1.<br />

The new profile is applied to the slab.<br />
