Reinforcement in a Column<br />

In this exercise, you model reinforcement in a concrete column, using the Revit Structure rebar shapes<br />

library.<br />

Training File<br />

■ Click File menu ➤ Open.<br />

■ In the left pane of the Open dialog, click Training Files, and open <strong>Metric</strong>\m_RST_Concrete_Reinf.rvt.<br />

Open detail view<br />

1 In the Project Browser, under Detail Views (Detail), double-click Column Detail.<br />

NOTE The line weights in your file may differ from the examples shown. Some of the rebar line<br />

weights were increased in the illustrations for training purposes.<br />

2 On the Toolbar, click , and draw a pick box around the section view of the column located<br />

in the center of the drawing area.<br />

Launch the rebar shape browser<br />

3 On the Modelling tab of the Design Bar, click Rebar ➤ Place Rebar Parallel.<br />

The Rebar Shape Browser launches, positioned to the right of the drawing area. This browser<br />

provides multiple rebar shape types that can be placed within the specified host. The active<br />

rebar shape is highlighted and corresponds to the shape specified on the Options bar.<br />
