Annotating
■ For Text Location, select In-line with Leader.
■ For Elevation Indicator, enter EL.
■ Click Apply, and then OK.
36 In the Element Properties dialog, click OK.
37 On the Design Bar, click Modify.
Notice that the elevation indicator displays below the existing coordinates.
38 Click File menu ➤ Close.
You can save the open file if you wish. In the next lesson, a new training file is provided.

In this exercise, you learn how to use the beam annotation tool to tag all beams in a plan view, and add an
end reaction annotation to specific beams in the structure. You also learn how to create a custom mark in
place of an existing beam tag.
Training File
■ Click File menu ➤ Open.
■ In the left pane of the Open dialog, click Training Files, and open Metric\m_RST_Annotations.rvt.
