Annotating<br />

■ For Text Location, select In-line with Leader.<br />

■ For Elevation Indicator, enter EL.<br />

■ Click Apply, and then OK.<br />

36 In the Element Properties dialog, click OK.<br />

37 On the Design Bar, click Modify.<br />

Notice that the elevation indicator displays below the existing coordinates.<br />

38 Click File menu ➤ Close.<br />

In this exercise, you learn how to use the beam annotation tool to tag all beams in a plan view, and add an<br />

end reaction annotation to specific beams in the structure. You also learn how to create a custom mark in<br />

place of an existing beam tag.<br />

Training File<br />

■ Click File menu ➤ Open.<br />

■ In the left pane of the Open dialog, click Training Files, and open <strong>Metric</strong>\m_RST_Annotations.rvt.<br />
