10 Click File menu ➤ Save. Working with Detail Groups In this lesson, you work with groups in order to use them in the most efficient manner within and across projects. Detail groups are created when you group view-specific elements, such as text, and filled regions. You create a detail group in the First Floor plan and add the group to the Second Floor plan of the building model. Attached detail groups are created when you group view-specific elements that are associated with a specific model group, such as door and window tags. In the next exercise, you add door tags to a group, and create an attached detail group containing the tags. You work with the attached detail group in a different way than you had previously worked with host and nested groups because attached detail groups require more manual manipulation. Creating a Detail Group In this exercise, you sketch and annotate a rectangular filled region that represents an area of tiled flooring in front of the elevators in the building model. You then save the region and the text note as a detail group. You can add the detail group to other views of the building model.
