18 On the Design Bar, click Modify.<br />

19 On the View Toolbar, click .<br />

Notice that the foundation walls are no longer gray and there is no material pattern applied in<br />

this view. This is because a surface pattern was not selected when the material was defined. In<br />

the following exercise, Creating and Applying Fill Patterns on page 84, you create a pattern and<br />

apply it to this material.<br />

20 On the Rendering tab of the Design Bar, click Rendering dialog.<br />

TIP If the Rendering tab is not available on the Design Bar, right-click the Design Bar, and select<br />

Rendering.<br />

21 In the drawing area, draw a pick box around the entire 3D image.<br />

NOTE If you want to see the material in greater detail, zoom into the model, and drag a zoom box<br />

around the area you want to render.<br />

22 In the Rendering dialog, do the following:<br />

■ For Quality Setting, select Best.<br />

■ Click Render.<br />

The rendering process begins. When it is finished, the material that you created is displayed.<br />
