System configuration defines system hardware and software parameters.<br />

Overlay program 17 is used to modify the following parameters:<br />

— passwords<br />

— buffer sizes*<br />

— number of CPU*<br />

— voice or data loops*<br />

— tone and digit loops*<br />

— conference loops*<br />

— memories*<br />

— automatic maintenance routines<br />

— teletypewriters and modem<br />

— server configurations<br />

* When modifying these parameters, the system must be initialized to effect<br />

the change. After initialization, load Overlay 17 and check the amount of<br />

unprotected memory before the data dump. When adding memory a<br />

SYSLOAD is required. See the Conversion Procedures for parallel reload.<br />

When the Overlay is loaded the available system memory and disk records<br />

are output in a header as follows:<br />
