The subdirectories contain the following information:
4.12 External Data Sources
ATM contains tropospheric zenith path delay estimates for our global IGS and regional
EUREF solutions, as well as for the rapid IGS solution where the final solution is not
yet available. It contains the ionosphere information from the European solution in
IONEX format (extension INX) and in Bernese format (extension ION). The files are
arranged in yearly subdirectories.
GEN contains general Bernese software files such as CONST., DATUM., the leap second file
(GPSUTC.), the receiver information file (RECEIVER.), the satellite information file
(e.g., SATELLIT.I05), and the antenna phase center file (e.g., PHAS COD.I05). Furthermore
ANTEX files are available (e.g., I05.ATX) maintained by CODE to support
the user in case of newly launched satellites (see Section 16.2.5). Also the nutation
and subdaily pole model files and several gravity fields can be found here. Some of
these files never change, others are updated from time to time, e.g., if a leap second
is introduced (GPSUTC.) or if a new GNSS satellite is launched (SATELLIT.I05 and
I05.ATX).
The directory contains, in addition, the satellite problem files SAT yyyy.CRX (for GPS
and GLONASS) and GPS yyyy.CRX (with GLONASS deactivated) which are updated
daily based on data problems or maneuvers identified in the CODE routine processing.
Use these files to avoid problems with misbehaving satellites.
See Table 22.1 for a list of general files which may be updated through CODE’s
anonymous ftp server.
ORB contains in the top directory daily updated files with 30-days running averages of
P1-P2 and P1-C1 differential code bias (DCB) information as well as the official IERS
pole files (C04 and Bulletin A (rapid)) in the Bernese format.
Yearly subdirectories contain broadcast clock information, satellite high rate (30seconds)
clock corrections in Bernese format from the CODE IGS final solution, P1-P2
DCB estimates from the final and rapid solutions, and weekly CODE final ERP files,
which are consistent with the corresponding orbit solutions stored in the ftp directory
CODE (see below). The corresponding SP3 files (*.EPH) also contain precise clock
corrections for the satellites (every 15 minutes).
Please note that the ERP files located in the ORB area are in the Bernese pole format
and may, therefore, be directly used by the Bernese GPS Software Version 5.0 . If you
want to use ERP files produced by the IGS, which are in the IGS format, a conversion
using the program POLUPD is required (see Section 5.2.2).
STA contains an ocean loading file, station coordinates and velocities in the ITRFyy,
IGS yy, and EURF97 realizations and the list of IGS fiducial sites. Yearly subdirectories
contain weekly coordinates from CODE IGS and EUREF solutions.
A special attention is needed for the ITRF2005/IGS05 series because these files are
associated as follows to the use of relative respective absolute antenna phase center
variation modeling (see Section 16.1 for more details):
Set of files ANTEX Satellite info PCV model file PCV modeling
IGS05 I05.ATX SATELLIT.I05 PHAS ccc.I05 absolute
ITRF2005 I01.ATX SATELLIT.I01 PHAS ccc.I01 relative
IGT05 I01.ATX SATELLIT.I01 PHAS ccc.I01 relative
