We may also divide the file types according to ”Menu>Configure>Paths and extensions” into the<br />

following categories (see Chapter 3).<br />

General Panel “DATA STRUCTURE 1: General Files”<br />

Stored in the directory GEN of the program area.<br />

Orbit related Panel “DATA STRUCTURE 2: Campaign Data, Orbit and EOP Files”.<br />

Stored in the campaign-specific directory ORB.<br />

Observations Panels “DATA STRUCTURE 3: Campaign Data, RINEX Files” and “DATA<br />

STRUCTURE 4: Campaign Data, Observation Files” (raw data, RINEX<br />

data, <strong>Bernese</strong> observation files).<br />

Stored in the campaign-specific directories ORX, RAW, and OBS.<br />

Station related Panels “DATA STRUCTURE 5: Campaign Data, Station Files”. Stored in<br />

the campaign-specific directories STA.<br />

Atmosphere related “DATA STRUCTURE 6: Campaign Data, Atmosphere Modeling Files”. Stored<br />

in the campaign-specific directories ATM.<br />

Miscellaneous “DATA STRUCTURE 7 - 9: Campaign Data, Output Files”, “Solution Files”,<br />

and “<strong>Bernese</strong> Files (ASCII)”.<br />

Stored in the campaign-specific directories OUT, SOL, and OBS.<br />

BPE Panel “DATA STRUCTURE 10: <strong>Bernese</strong> Processing Engine (BPE)”.<br />

Usually stored in the user area, or in the BPE directory of the campaign.<br />

Master files also available in the program area.<br />

22.4 General Files<br />

The general files are important for the processing part. They are independent from the<br />

user and from the campaign processed and are stored in the directory ${X}/GEN. Table 22.1<br />

shows the list of general files available in the distribution. It shows also which files need<br />

modifications from time to time. In order to have always available an updated file they can<br />

be downloaded from the anonymous ftp-server at the AIUB (http://www.aiub.unibe.ch/<br />

download/BSWUSER50/GEN, see Section 4.12.1).<br />
