4.2 RINEX Observation Files
in one program run. A receiver information file (${X}/GEN/RECEIVER.) has to be selected
in panel “BV3RXO 1.1: General Files” for this procedure (see Section 22.4.3) to define whether
the code measurements shall be exported as P-code or as C/A-code into the output RINEX
observation file.
4.2.5 Utilities
CCRINEXO (”Menu>RINEX>Cut/concatenate RINEX files>Observation files”), RNXGRA (”Menu>RINEX
>RINEX utilities>Create observation statistics”), and RNX2STA (”Menu>RINEX>RINEX utilities>Extract station
information”) are utility programs using RINEX observation files.
Program CCRINEXO cuts and concatenates RINEX observation files. Probably the most
important application of CCRINEXO is the concatenation of hourly RINEX observation files
to daily files. The program expects the RINEX observation files in the ORX subdirectory of
the campaign. The resulting files are written to the RAW directory. The output filenames
retain their first four characters (station identifier). The following four characters contain
the session which is generated from the day of year of the first observation epoch in the
result file and the session character. The session character can only be changed using ”Menu
>Configure>Set session/compute date”.
Program RNXGRA generates pseudo-graphics of RINEX observation files. Part of a RNXGRA
output file is shown in Figure 4.5. An asterisk (∗) indicates that for the corresponding
20 minute interval less than the user-specified maximum number of missing epochs are
unavailable, a dash (−) marks intervals with more missing epochs. Station names may be
translated using a station information file (section TYPE 001: RENAMING OF STATIONS).
Consult the on-line help for more information.
Program RNX2STA (”Menu>RINEX>RINEX utilities>Extract station information”) compiles a station information
file (description see Section 22.8.3) from the header information of multiple
RINEX observation files. Check the content of the created file before using it.
