22.8 Station Related Files Used by: RXOBV3, SNGDIF (”Menu>Processing>Baseline file creation”), as well as BASLST, GPSSIM, MPRXTR, QLRINEXO, RESCHK, RESRMS , and RCVTST. Example: Figure 22.30 and ${X}/DOC/EXAMPLE.ABB. Station abbreviations are used for the automatic generation of filenames by programs RXOBV3, SNGDIF, GPSSIM, and QLRINEXO. Program RXOBV3 may automatically add unique abbreviations to the table for new stations (see Section 4.2.3.5). Abbreviations have to be unique. Otherwise observation files may be overwritten by the observation files of other stations. When editing the table with the menu a warning message is issued if two abbreviations are equal. 22.8.3 Station Information File Type: ASCII Directory: Campaign-specific directory STA. Extension: STA Content: Station information (e.g., station name, receiver, antenna, and antenna height). Created by: User-defined, RNX2STA (”Menu>RINEX>RINEX utilities>Extract station information”) from RINEX headers , SNX2STA (”Menu>Conversion>SINEX to station information”) from SINEX, or edit file by using ”Menu>Campaign>Edit station files>Station information”. TBLO2N (”Menu>Conversion>Version 4.2 to 5.0>Translation tables to station information files”) converts Version 4.2 -formatted tables into the new format. Used by: Several processing programs to identify LEOs, and RXOBV3 (”Menu>RINEX >Import RINEX to Bernese format>Observation files”), CHGHED (”Menu>Service>Bernese observation files>Change header information”), ADDNEQ2 (”Menu>Processing>Normal equation stacking”) and PHCCNV (”Menu>Conversion>ANTEX to Bernese format”). Example: Figure 22.31 and ${X}/DOC/EXAMPLE.STA. The station information file is accessed by several programs and is divided into the following sections: (1) TYPE 001: RENAMING OF STATIONS Using a time window you may change to a different station name. Wildcards are allowed in the column “OLD STATION NAME”. (2) TYPE 002: STATION INFORMATION Using a station name and a time window you may change the information about the antenna eccentricity and about the receiver and/or antenna type. RXOBV3 overwrites, if desired, RINEX header entries with information from this section. In ADDNEQ2 the station name and description specified in this type is used for the SINEX file. The information from this section may be used with program CHGHED (”Menu>Service>Bernese observation files>Change header information”) to adapt observation file headers accordingly.
