Figure 9.7: General options for program ADDNEQ2 (2).
9.4 The Program ADDNEQ2
In panel “ADDNEQ2 3.2: Options 2” (see Figure 9.7) additional panels may be activated
concerning the estimation of troposphere parameters, orbit parameters, Earth orientation
parameters, and additional parameters such as satellite antenna offsets, satellite antenna
phase patterns, and geocenter coordinates. These additional panels allow it, in particular,
to specify sigma values for constraining the parameter estimates to a priori values read from
input files (see Section 9.4.3). Note, however, that the parameter constraints and options
defined in the respective panels are applied as soon as corresponding parameters are found
in the input normal equations even if the panels are not activated. Disabling the switches
is thus equivalent to an ”keep as it is”-option.
9.4.3 Dependence on A Priori Information
In principle ADDNEQ2 takes the a priori values for parameters always from input files.
Parameter a priori values from input NEQs are transformed to these input values, and
constraints force parameter estimates to these new values. In panels “ADDNEQ2 1: Input
Files” and “ADDNEQ2 1.1: General Files” various files may be specified, e.g., containing a priori
values for differential code biases or ionosphere parameters.
Most important are the coordinate and velocity files that may be specified in the input panel.
For each input normal equation, station coordinates are transformed from the a priori values
in the normal equation to the coordinates from the input coordinate file propagated to the
epoch of the normal equation using the velocity given in the velocity file (if a velocity file
is specified as input). The transformed coordinates are used to specify the geodetic datum.
See Section 10.2.2 for more details.
