each option, you can access the integrated help for further information. Be careful not to
accidentally change options in these files.
20.2 Description of the Data Set
20.2.1 Observation Data
The example data consists of daily RINEX
observation data from 8 IGS stations on the
Eurasian plate representing an example of
a regional network. The observations cover
4 days (days 143 and 144 of 2002 and days
138 and 139 of 2003). The distances between
- ONSA
neighboring stations are between 300 and
- PTBB
1200 km. In addition, two very close antennas
in Zimmerwald, Switzerland, are in-
BRUS -
- FFMJ
cluded into the example (ZIMM and ZIMJ,
distance 14 m). All receivers used in this example
tracked L1 and L2 with a sampling
ZIMM -- ZIMJ
rate of 30 seconds. For some of these stations,
RINEX navigation files are available
as well.
- VILL
- MATE
The locations of these stations is given in
Figure 20.1: Stations used in example campaign
Figure 20.1. Table 20.1 lists the stations together with their receiver and antenna types
and height. The receiver antennas of only two sites (ONSA and PTBB) are equipped with
radomes (type OSOD resp. SNOW).
Three stations (MATE, ONSA, VILL) are part of the IGS core sites. This is a set of about
95 IGS stations representing the realization of the reference frame (IGS 00: IGS realization
of the ITRF 2000; [Kouba et al., 1998] and IGS Mail 4666).
Two stations (FFMJ, ZIMJ) are equipped with GNSS receivers tracking GPS as well as
GLONASS satellites. The receivers used at stations BRUS and PTBB are connected to
H-Masers. The receiver type ASHTECH Z-XII3T was developed for time and frequency
applications.
The RINEX files are contained in the example campaign’s ORX directory (Original Rinex)
${P}/EXAMPLE/ORX.
20.2.2 Auxiliary Data
Besides the RINEX observation data, several other data files necessary for processing are
included in the example campaign’s subdirectories.
