20.4.2.8 Velocity Estimation
20.4 Description of the Processing Examples
The size reduced normal equation files generated in PID 521 can be used for multi-session
combinations with ADDNEQ2. Because the files contain coordinates as only explicit parameter
type, even a multi-year combination to retrieve velocities is feasible. For this single
program run no example BPE is necessary. Simply combine the NEQs from the four example
sessions using ADDNEQ2 following the instructions in Chapter 10.
Further Reading: Section 10.3: Coordinate and Velocity Estimation in Practice (page 217),
Chapter 9: Combination of Solutions (page 183).
20.4.3 Example for a Baseline-Wise Processing (BASTST.PCF)
The BPE example BASTST.PCF is designed to perform a quality check of single baselines.
For each baseline a residual summary is created which lets you inspect observation data
quality and preprocessing performance. It is an example for a quite simply designed PCF.
It is specifically assumed that all necessary input files may be taken over from a previous
RNX2SNX BPE run (successfully completed by PID 312 or 313).
The next sections provide details of each PCF step in textual structured blocks.
20.4.3.1 Delete Specific Files
Before any program is started, old result files from the current session are deleted.
PID 001 BAS DEL: This script deletes old result files referring to the current session.
20.4.3.2 Compute Baseline Solutions and Extract Relevant Information
This is the main part of the BASTST.PCF example BPE. Residual files, statistics, and summaries
are created for each baseline.
