Career and Technical Education: Some career and technical education programs include a technical skill assessment. All career and technical education programs that have been approved under the 2001 Regents Policy on CTE (i.e., those that issue a Technical Endorsement on the high school diploma) offer a technical skills assessment. To qualify for the Technical Endorsement, a student must successfully complete his or her career and technical education program and pass the Technical Skill assessment that was approved under the 2001 Regents approval process. Report all technical skill assessment outcomes, whether the CTE program is offered in the local high school or in a BOCES or technical/CTE high school and whether it has been approved under the Regents CTE policy or not. The 00199 assessment measure code is to be used for all such career and technical education assessments.
