demande en sera faite par la voie diplomatique
et on y donnera suite, h moins que des consid6rations
particulires ne s'y opposent et sous
l'obligation de renvoyer, dans le plus bref d6lai
possible, les pi~ces et documents.
Les Gouvernements contractants renoncent
au remboursement des frais occasionn6s, dans
les limites de leurs territoires respectifs, par
l'envoi et la restitution des pi~ces de conviction
et documents.
Article 19.
Les deux Gouvernements s'engagent h se
communiquer rdciproquement, sans restitution
des frais, les condamnations pour crimes
ou d6lits de toute esp~ce qui auront 6t6 prononces
par les tribunaux de lFun des deux Etats
contre les sujets de l'autre.
Cette communication sera effectude moyennant
l'envoi par la voie diplomatique d'un
bulletin ou extrait de la ddcision d~finitive, au
Gouvernement du pays auquel appartient le
condamn6.
Article 20.
Le prdsent trait6 entrera en vigueur dix jours
apr~s sa publication dans les formes prescrites
par les lois des deux pays.
Les faits antdrieurs h la mise en vigueur du
Trait6 ne pourront 6tre l'objet d'une demande
d'extradition que dans le cas oil les personnes
rfclam~es se seraient rdfugides sur le territoire
de 'Etat requis aprs la signature.
Chacune des Parties contractantes pourra
en tout temps ddnoncer le prdsent Trait6 en
prdvenant l'autre Partie de son intention six
mois h l'avance.
II sera ratifi6, et les ratifications en seront
6changdes k Athnes dans un ddlai de six mois
au plus t6t si faire se peut.
EN FOI DE QUOI, les Plnipotentiaires respectifs
l'ont sign6 et y ont appos6 leurs cachets.

or desirable, a request to that effect will be
made through diplomatic channels, and shall
be complied with unless special circumstances
render such communication objectionable and
subject to the return at the earliest possible
date of such evidence and documents.
The respective Governments renounce all
claim to reimbursement of costs resulting within
the limits of their respective territories from
the forwarding and return of such evidence
and documents.
Article '9.
The two Governments mutually undertake
to inform each other, free of cost, of all convictions
for crimes or delicts of any kind pronounced
by the Courts of the one against subjects of the
other.
This notification shall take the form of a
report or extract of the final judgment sent
through diplomatic channels to the Government
of the State to which the person convicted
belongs.
Article 20.
The present Treaty shall come into force
ten days after its publication in the forms
prescribed by the laws of the two countriec.
Acts done before the coming into force of
the Treaty shall not form the subject of requests
for extradition, except in cases where the persons
claimed have taken refuge in the territory of
the State to which the request is made after
the exchagne of ratifications.
Each of the Contracting Parties may at any
time denounce the present Treaty by giving
the other Party six months' notice of its intention.
The Treaty shall be ratified and ratifications
shall be exchanged at Athens, if possible,
within six months.
IN WITNESS whereof the respective Plenipotentiaries
have signed and sealed the present
Treaty.
