Now, Therefore, I, Woodrow Wilson, President<br />
of the <strong>United</strong> States of America, do<br />
declare and proclaim that one of the alternative<br />
conditions specified in Section 8 of the Act of<br />
March 4, 19o9, was fulfilled in respect to the<br />
subjects of Sweden on February I, 1920, and<br />
that the subjects of Sweden from and after<br />
that date shall be entitled to all the benefits<br />
of the said Act, and the acts amendatory<br />
thereof to and including the Act of Congress of<br />
March 28, 1914, including copyright controlling<br />
the parts of instruments serving to reproduce<br />
mechanically a musical work, as provided in<br />
Section I (e) of the said Act, in the case of all<br />
works by Swedish authors which have been<br />
published on or after February I, 1920, and<br />
ave been deposited and registered for copyright<br />
in the <strong>United</strong> States.<br />
In Testimony whereof, I have hereunto set<br />
my hand and caused the Seal of the <strong>United</strong><br />
States to be affixed.<br />
Done at the City of Washington this 27th<br />
day of February, 'in the Year of our Lord,<br />
One Thousand Nine Hundred and Twenty and<br />
of the Independence of the <strong>United</strong> States of<br />
America the One Hundred and Forty-fourth.<br />

Unis d'Amdrique, ddclare et proclame que l'une<br />
des conditions sp~cifides h la Section 8 de la<br />
loi du 4 mars 19o9 a 6t6 remplie, en ce qui concerne<br />
les sujets su~dois, h la date du Ier f~vrier<br />
1920, et que les sujets su~dois, ds cette date,<br />
auront droit h tous les avantages qui d6rivent<br />
de ladite Loi, et des lois qui l'amendent, y compris<br />
la loi du Congr~s du 28 mars 1914, y conpris<br />
6galement le droit de contr6ler les parties<br />
d'instruments servant k reproduire m'caniquement<br />
une oeuvre de musique, ainsi qu'il est<br />
pr~vu h la Section I (e) de ladite loi. Ce droit<br />
s'applique i toutes les euvres d'auteurs su~dois,<br />
publiles ds le Ier f~vrier 192o, diment d~pos~es<br />
et enregistr~es comme propridt6 litt~raire t:,<br />
artistique aux Etats-Unis.<br />
En foi de quoi, j'ai sign6 la pr6sente et fait<br />
apposer le sceau des Etats-Unis.<br />
