services, shall be applicable in the Principality of Liechtenstein in the same manner as in Switzerland.<br />

Competence in penal matters.<br />

Article 3.<br />

Cases of infringement of the fiscal laws of the Condeferation which require to be brought<br />

before a court shall be tried in the first instance in the Court of the Principality at Vaduz.<br />

The Cantonal Court at St. Gall is appointed as Court of Appeal, and the Swiss Federal Court<br />

at Lausanne as Court of Cassation.<br />

Oficial Marks and Designations.<br />

Article 4.<br />

i. The postal, telegraph and telephone offices in the Principality of Liechtenstein shall be<br />

styled offices of the Principality of Liechtenstein, although they shall be exclusively under the<br />

control of the Swiss Postal, Telegraph and Telephone Administrations.<br />

2. In so far as arms and national colours appear in inscriptions, stamps and official seals of<br />

the post, telegraph and telephone offices of the Principality of Liechtenstein, the arms and colours<br />

used shall be those of Liechtenstein.<br />

3. Officials of Liechtenstein nationality employed in the Principality shall, if required to<br />

wear a service-cap, affix to it the Liechtenstein badge.<br />

Postage Stamps.<br />

SECTION II.<br />

POSTAGE STAMPS, CHARGES AND DUES.<br />

Article 5.<br />

i. The Government of the Principality of Liechtenstein shall, at its own expense, manufacture<br />

its own postage stamps, which shall be issued and employed by the Swiss Postal Administration<br />

in the post offices of the Principality, in accordance with the regulations in force for Swizerland.<br />

The Government of Liechtenstein may sell its postage stamps on other premises forstamp-collecting<br />

purposes only.<br />

2. Swiss postage stamps may not be used in the Principality of Liechtenstein or issued in<br />

Liechtenstein post offices unless for the moment no Liechtenstein postage stamps should be available.<br />

The value of stamps thus sold shall, after deduction of the prime cost of the stamps, be<br />

credited to the Principality of Liechtenstein.<br />

3. The postage stamps of each country shall be accorded in the other country the same legal<br />

protection against forgery etc. as is applicable to the stamps of such other country.<br />

Charges and Dues.<br />

Article 6.<br />

I. For the postal, telegraph and telephone services between Switzerland and Liechtenstein<br />

the same charges and dues shall be levied as for the Swiss inland services. For the postal, telegraph<br />

and telephone services between Liechtenstein and foreign countries the same charges shall be<br />

made as for the Swiss services with foreign countries.<br />

2. The right to immunity from payment of dues in the Principality of Liechtenstein shall<br />

be subject to the same regulations as in Switzerland.
