pour les Affaires Etrang~res afin d'6changer
les lettres de ratification du Trait6 de Paix
conclu le II aofit 1920 h Riga entre la Russie
d'une part et la Latvie de 'autre, conform6ment
h l'article 23 du susdit Trait6 de Paix.
Apr~s quoi, vu que les lettres ont 6t6 pr6sent6es
et trouv6es par les deux parties en bonne
et due forme et que l'identitd de leur contenu
a 6t6 constatee, 1'change des lettres de ratification
a dtd effectu6, en foi de quoi les soussignus
ont 6tabli le pr6sent protocole qu'ils ont
sign6 et revftu de leurs cachets.
L'original a 6td 6tabli en deux exemplaires
et sin6 le 4 octobre 1920 1 6 heures 30 minutes
de 1 apr~s-midi.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF the President of
the Pan Rusisan Central Executive Committee,
after having signed these Letters of Ratification,
has now confirmed them and has affixed thereto
the State seal.

1TRANSLATION.
PROTOCOL
The undersigned met on October 4th 1920
at Moscow, at the Office of the Peoples Commissary
for Foreign Affairs in order to exchange
Letters of Ratification of the Treaty of Peace
concluded at Riga on the ith Augus.t 192o
between Russia on the one hand and Latvia
on the other, in conformity with Article 23 of
the aforementioned Treaty of Peace.
After which, seeing that the Letters had
been presented and found by both parties
to be jin good and due form, and that their
contents were found to be identical, the exchange
of letters of Ratification took place.
In witness whereof the undersigned have
drawn up the present Protocol and have thereto
affixed their signatures and seals.
The original has- been done in duplicate and
signed on the 4th of October 192o at 6.30 p. m.
