a eu lieu le 21 octobre 1920. .
Les soussign~s, dfiment autoris~s par leurs
Gouvernements respectifs, sont convenus des
stipulations suivantes :
A rticle premier.
La Pologne, la Roumanie, lEtat Serbe-
"Croate-Slovne et l'Etat Tch6co-Slovaque, en
tant qu'Etats auxquets sont transfdr6s des
territoires de l'ancienne monarchie austro-hongroise
ou qui sont nds .du. d~membrement de
ladite monarchie, acceptent, chacun en ce qui
le concerne, de verser, kL titre de co"ntribution
aux charges et ddpenses qu'a enfraindes la
lib6ration desdits territoires, de s sommes dont
le montant ne d~passera pas 1,500,ooo000 francs
or, le franc or 6tant pris au poids d'or fin 16galement
6tabli au Ter janvier 1914.

PORTUGAL, ROUMANIA, THE
SERB-CROAT- SLOVENE STATE,
SIAM AND THE CZECHO-SLO-
VAK STATE, WITH REGARD
TO THE CONTRIBUTIONS TO
THE COST OF LIBERATION OF
THE TERRITORIES OF THE
FORMER AUSTRO-HUNGARIAN
MONARCHY, SIGNED AT SAINT-
GERMAIN-EN-LAYE, SEPTEM-
BER IO, 19i9.
French, English and Italian official texts,
forwarded by the Conference of Ambassadors
on behalf of the Principal Allied and Associated
Powers. The registration of this agreement
took place on October, 21, 192o.
The Undersigned, duly authorized by their
respective Governments, have agreed on the
following provisions
Article i.
Poland, Roumania, the Serb-Croat-Slovene
State and the Czecho-Slovak State, as States
to which territory of the former Austro-Hungarian
Monarchy is transferred or States arising
from the dismemberment of that Monarchy,
severally agree to pay, as a contribution towards
the expenses of liberating the said territories,
sums not exceeding in the agregate the equivalent
of 1,5o0;ooo,ooo francs gold, the gold franc
being taken as of the -veight and fineness of
gold as enacted by law on -January I, 1914.
