Article 5.<br />

Every aircraft must be provided with a log book and a navigating licence granted to it by the<br />

competent authorities of one of the States, or by an association authorised by them as well as its<br />

registration certificate. It must carry clear distinctive marks which can be identified when it is<br />

in flight.<br />

Article 6.<br />

The crew must be provided with all the documents which are required for air navigation in the<br />

country whose nationality the aircraft possesses. The contracting parties will communicate to<br />

one another the documents in force in their respective territories. The crew further must carry<br />

certificates showing the nationality, their identity, their military rank, and must be provided, if<br />

necessary, with passports. The passengers must be provided with identity certificates and passports<br />

required by the laws and regulations in force.<br />

Article 7.<br />

No wireless telegraphic apparatus shall be carried by an aircraft until after the conclusion<br />

of a special convention upon the subject between the two countries.<br />

Article 8.<br />

Aircraft engaged in international navigation between the two States may carry persons and<br />

goods from one country to the other, internal traffic in each of the countries being forbidden.<br />

They must be furnished with the following documents:<br />

A nominal roll of the passengers.<br />

An Inventory (manifest) of the goods and supplies carried; and also with detailed declarations<br />

made out by the Consigners.<br />

All such traffic shall be subject to the regulations in force.<br />

Mails (letters and parcels) may be carried if an agreement on this subject is in force between<br />

the postal administration of the two countries.<br />

Article 9.<br />

The authorities of the two countries shall before departure and landing have the right to visit<br />

each aircraft and to examine the documents with which it must be provided.<br />

Article io.<br />

Aircraft of both States shall have the right in respect to forced or intentional landing to the<br />

same assistance as national aircraft.<br />

Article ii.<br />

All aerodromes, in either of the two States, which are available for national aircraft, either<br />

free of charge, or upon payment of specified dues, shall also be available to aircraft of the other<br />

State under the same conditions.<br />

Article 12.<br />

The frontier between the two countries may only be crossed between certain specified points,<br />

to be fixed by mutual agreement.
