The following Law, enacted by His Excellency the
Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of
Cyprus, is published for general information in a
supplement to this gazette :—
No. f) of 1936.—A Law to appropriate a sum not
exceeding Six Hundred and Seventy-Nine Thousand
Two Hundred and Thirty-One Pounds to the
Service of the Twelve Months ending the Thirty-
First Day of December, in the Year of Our Lord
One Thousand Nine Hundred and Thirty-Six.

No. 250. Executive Council.
His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to
make the following appointment:—
Mr. A. B. Wright, C.B.E., M.C, Administrative
Officer (Chief Assistant Secretary), to be a Member
of the Executive Council of the Colony of Cyprus
whilst acting as Colonial Secretary from 21st March,

No. 251. Appointments.
His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to
make the following appointments :—
Miss Madge Hilda Sizer to be, on probation, a Nursing
Sister, Medical Department. Dated 28th February,
1936.
Miss Sizer arrived in the Colony on the 12th

No. 253. Transfer from Cyprus.
Mr. Alistair Foggie, Assistant Conservator of
Forests, 1st Grade, has been selected by the Right
Honourable the Secretary of State for the Colonies for
appointment as Assistant Conservator of Forests,
Gold Coast. The date of the transfer will be notified

No. 254. The Secondary Education Laws, 1935
and 1936.
GOVERNING BODY FOR MOSLEM SECONDARY SCHOOLS..
In exercise of the powers vested in him by section
24 of the Secondary Education Law, 1935, His
Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint
the following to be members of the Governing Body
for Moslem Secondary Schools :—

No. 255. Special Authorization under the Village
Authorities Laws, 1981 to (No. 2) 1935.
In exercise of the powers vested in him by the
Village Authorities Laws, 1931 to (No. 2) 1935, His
Excellency the Governor has been pleased to authorize
the following Mukhtar to issue search warrants under
the provisions of section 13A (1) and (2) of the said
Laws :—

No. 256. The Rockefeller Foundation.
It is notified for general information that the'
following staff members have been appointed by the
International Health Division of the Rockefeller
Foundation to undertake, in collaboration with the
local Medical Department, a campaign of health work in
Cyprus, which in the first instance will be directed
against malaria.

Joseph C. Carter, Sanitary Engineer.
Warren Stratman-Thomas, M.A., Ph.D., M.D.,
D.T.M. & H. (London).
2. Such assistance as lies within their power will be
extended to these officers by all Government departments.
The various local authorities, in particular
Municipalities and Village Commissions, are invited to
co-operate similarly with them in their important
undertaking.
3. The work undertaken will be in the executive
charge of Dr. Stratman-Thomas, to whom any com-
