Order pro\'ided that—<br />

(1) they only use canoes, pirogues or other<br />

exclusively native craft propeUed by oars or<br />

(•2) they do not carry firearms :<br />

(3) they are not in the employment of<br />

2. <strong>The</strong> provisions of the Act which are expressed<br />

to apply only to British ships shaU apply to other<br />

sliips registered in or licensed under the law of any<br />

territory mentioned in the First Schedule to this<br />

Order..<br />

3. Sections 3 and 4 of the Act shaU not apply<br />

in relation to anything done within the coastal<br />

waters of anj- territory mentioned in the Second<br />

Schedule to this Order.<br />

1930 AND 1934.<br />

Acting Governor.<br />

In exercise of the powers vested in the Govemor<br />

by the Municipal Corporations Laws, 1930 and<br />

1934, His ExceUency the Acting Governor, with<br />

the advice of the Executive CouncU, is pleased<br />

to order and it is hereby ordered as foUows :—<br />

That the Mayor, I)eputy Mayor, Councillors<br />

and Townsmen of Nicosia, (hereinafter called<br />

" the Municipal Corporation "), shaU be at<br />

liberty to borrow from the Bank of <strong>Cyprus</strong><br />

Limited, (hereinafter caUed " the Bank"),<br />

the sum of one thousand pounds (£1,00(») at<br />

a rate of interest not exceeding six per centum<br />

(6%) per annum subject to the following terms<br />

and conditions, that is to say :—<br />

(1) That the sum borrowed together with<br />

any interest due or which may become due<br />

thereon shaU be repayable by^ the Municipal<br />

Corporation to the Bank on or before the<br />

'31st day of December, 1937.<br />

(2) That the Municipal Corporation shaU<br />

insert in its estimates for 1937 afi a charge<br />

on the revenues the sum borrowed together<br />

with any interest due or which may become<br />

due thereon.<br />

(3) That the sum bonowed shall be<br />

utilized by the Municipal Corporation as<br />

follows :—<br />

(a) Six hundred pounds (£600) for the<br />

repair and asphalting of existing streets<br />

and the construction of new drains<br />

vrithin the municipal limits.<br />

(6) Two hundred pounds (£200) for the<br />

construction of new streets within the<br />

municipal limits.<br />

(c) Two hundred pounds (£200) for the<br />

repair of the Walls near Famagusto<br />

Gate within the municipal limits.<br />

Made in Couneil, this 7th day of August,<br />

the Uth day of February, 1937, and the 13th day<br />
