THE ELEMENTARY EDUCATION LAWS, 1933 TO 1936.
Governor.
Whereas His Excellency the Govemor has ordered the Village Commissions of the villages mentioned in
the Schedule hereto to provide school buildings and other premises and loans amounting to the sums respectively
mentioned in the said Schedule have been raised to meet the expense of providing such buildings and other
premises as aforesaid :
Now, therefore, in pursuance of the powers vested in him by the Elementary Education Laws, 1983 to 1936,
His Excellency the Governor is pleased to order and it is hereby ordered that the sums of money mentioned
in the said Schedule, to provide for the annual interest and sinking fund in respect of the said loan8,-be
recovered respectively from the Mohammedan tax-payers of the villages meriioned in the said Schedule in
the manner provided by section 73 of the above-mentioned Laws.

THE TREE PLANTING VILLAGE AREAS
LAWS, 1930 TO 1936.

Governor.
Whereas at a meeting duly convened and held
at the village of Kalavasos, in the District of
Lamaca, on the Sth day of December, 1935,
it was determined by the voters present thereat
that certain areas should be reserved as the Tree
Planting Area of the village of Kalavasos ;
And whereas at the said meeting the boundaries
of the said areas have been fixed and described :
And whereas the Mukhtar of the village of
Kalavasos has forwarded to the Commissioner
of the District of Lamaca a report, signed and
sealed by him, containing a description with
boundaries of the said areas and stating that the
said areas fulfil the conditions in section 10 (4)
of the Tree Planting Village Areas Laws, .1930
and 1935, prescribed :

And whereas the said Commissioner has transmitted
the said report, together with his recommendations,
to the Colonial Secretary for the
consideration of the Govemor :
And whereas the Govemor considers it expedient,
having regard to all the circumstances, that the
areas in the said report described should be reserved
as the Tree Planting Area of the village of
Kalavasos:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Govemor,
in exercise of the powers vested in him by the
Tree Planting Village Areas Laws, 1930 to 1936,
is pleased to order and it is hereby ordered as
follows :—
The two areas described in the Schedule hereto
are hereby declared to be and shall be reserved
as the Tree Planting Area of the village of
Kalavasos in the District of Lamaca.
