BYE-LAWS MADE BY THE COUXCIL OF THE<br />

MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF FAMAGUSTA.<br />

In e\erci.sc of the powers vestetl in them by the<br />

Muniiipal Corporations Laws. 1930 and 1934, and<br />

otherwise, the CouncU ofthe Municipal Corporation<br />

of FamaLnista hereby make the foUowing Byelaws<br />

:—<br />

1. <strong>The</strong>se Bye-laws may be cited as the Municipal<br />

(Jorporation (Fainauusta) Amendment Bye-laws,<br />

1936, and shaU be read as one with the Municipal<br />

Corporation(Famajiu-^ta)Bye-laws. 1931 to (No. 4)<br />

ll>35. (hereinaftei tailed *" the Principal Byelaws<br />

'"). and the Principal Bye-law s and these Byelaws<br />

may toiiether be cited as the Municipal<br />

Corporation (Faniagusta) Bye-laws. 1931 to 1936.<br />

" 160D.—(1) <strong>The</strong> passing of any motor lorrj-,<br />

cart or animal along the street known as " Tourist<br />

Road,' commencing at the Karpas Road near<br />

the former site of EUa and St. Barnabas' Fairs<br />

and continuing along the outer edge of the Moat<br />

as far as Del Mozzo Bastion, then into the<br />

Moat, and ending at Diamante Bastion, in<br />

either direction, is hereby prohibited.<br />

(2) <strong>The</strong> Council shall place or cause to be<br />

placed {fct the ends of the street in paragraph<br />

(1) hereof mentioned and at such other parts<br />

thereof as they may consider necessary sign<br />

posts bearing thereon the tollowing words in<br />

KiiL'ish. Greek and Turkish :—<br />

' <strong>The</strong> passing of motor lorries, carts and<br />

animals is prohibited."<br />

(3) lu this bye-law the term " motor lorry '<br />

means an\ motor vehicle constructed to carry<br />

more than six persons, exclusive of the driver<br />

thereof, and their personal baggage, and includes<br />

any motor vehicle known as lorry constructed<br />

or used for carryinu a mixed load of passengers<br />

and goods or a load of good-.<br />

(4) Xothing in this bye-law contained shaU<br />

apply to any motor lorry, cart vi animal used<br />

bv the Municipal (Orporation."<br />
