THE TREE PLANTING VILLAGE AREAS LAWS, 1930 TO 1936.
Govemor.
Whereas at a meeting duly convened and held
at the village of Omodhos, in the District of
limassol, on the 31st day of March, 1935, it was
determined by the requisite majority of the
voters present thereat that a certain area should
be reserved as the Tree Planting Area of the
village of Omodhos:
And whereas at the said meeting the boundaries
of the said area have been fixed and described:
And whereas the Mukhtar of the village of
Omodhos has forwarded to the Conunissioner of
the District of Limassol a report, signed and
sealed by him, containing a description with
boundaries of the said area and stating that the
said area fulfils the conditions in section 10 (4)
of the Tree Planting Village Areas Law, 1930
prescribed :
And whereas the said Conunissioner has transmitted
the said report, together with his recommendations,
to the Colonial Secrp*iry for the
consideration of the Govemor :
And whereas the Govemor considers it expedient
that the area described in the said report should be
limited :
Now, therefore, His ExceUency the Govemor,
in exercise of the powers vested in him by the Tree
Planting Village Areas Laws, 1930 to 1936, has
been pleased to order and i^ is hereby ordered
as follows :—
The area described in the Schedule hereto is
hereby declared to be and shall be reserved as
tJie Tree Planting Area of the village of Omodhos
in the District of Limaasol.
SCHEDULE.
The area lying within the foUowing boundaries,
that is to say :—
The boandary begins at the most northem
point of plot No. 4, plan No. XLVI/24, locaUty
" Timios Prodhromos," on the boundary of
the District of Limassol, and goes south-eastwards
along the boundaries of, and includes
in the reserved area, plots Nos. 4, 5, 10, 11, 12 of
the same plan, plot No. 3 ofplan No. XLVil/17,
to the north-eastem comer of plot No. 3 on
the main road from the village of Ayios Nicolaos
to the village of Platres ; thence north-eastwards
and south-eastwards along this road as far as
the most northem point of plot No. 340 of the
same plan, locaUty " Rotsia-tou-Veloni " on a
footpath; thence south-eastwards along this
footpath to the most eastem point of plot
No. 205 of the same plan; thence southeastwards
along the northem and eastem sides
of plot No. 218 of the same plan, to the stream
at the most westem point of plot No. 278 of
the same plan; thence south-eastwards along
this stream to the spring at the most southem
point of plot No. 269 of the same plan, locaUty
" Koukkoumadhes," on the boandary of the
village of Omodhos: thence south-eastwards
along this village boimdary to the road from
I>f andria to Omodhos at the most northem point
nf plot No. .5. plan No. XLyiljify, locaUty
" Kakvasidhia " ; thence south-i^eptnards along
this road as far as the track leading to Ayios
Nicolaos at the most southem point of
plot No. 645, plan No. XLVH 25, locaUty
" Konnidhc» " : thence north-westwards along
this track "to the most westem pofait' of plot
No. 66, plan No. XLVl/24, locality " Vrysia " ;
thence northwards and north-westwards passing
along the boundaries of, and including in the
reserved area, plots Nos. 66, 63, 62 and 59, to
the most northem point of plot No. 44 of the
same plan, locaUty " XCTOvoumes," on the
boundary of the IMstrict of Limassol; thence
northwards along this District boundiury to the
starting point.
ΚΥΠΡΙΑΚΗ ΔΗΜΟΚΡΑΤΙΑ
The area reserved comprises 2,303 donums
approximately, as shown edged in red on the plan,
filed in D.L.R,S. MP, 311/36.
