witnesses, to examine witnesses on oath and
to compel the production of any book or
document in the same manner and with the
same powers as those possessed by a District
Court or anv member thereof.
(3) Any person aggrieved by any order of
the Uquidator made under paragraphs (c),
(/) or (g) of sub-section (1) may appeal to the
Registrar within twenty-one days from the
date of such order and the decision of the
Registrar shaU be final and conclusive.'"
^^vf^oi 7. Section 43 of the Principal Law is hereby repealed

chairman, secretary, member of the committee
or oflficer of the society has misappUed or
retained or become Uable or accountable for
any money or propertj' of the society or has
been guilty of misfeasance or breach of trust
in relation to the society, the Registrar
may, on the appUcation of the Uquidator or
of any creditor or contributory, examine into
the conduct of such person and make an order
requiring him to repay or restore the money
or property or any part thereof with interest
at such rate as the Registrar thinks just or
to contribute such sum to the assets of the
society by way of compensation in regard to
the misappUcation, retainer, dishonesty or
breach of trust as the Registrar thinks just.
(2) This section shaU apply notwithstanding
that the act is one for which the offender may
be criminaUy responsible."
