to compel the production of any book or<br />

document in the same manner and with the<br />

same powers as those possessed by a District<br />

Court or anv member thereof.<br />

(3) Any person aggrieved by any order of<br />

the Uquidator made under paragraphs (c),<br />

(/) or (g) of sub-section (1) may appeal to the<br />

Registrar within twenty-one days from the<br />

date of such order and the decision of the<br />

Registrar shaU be final and conclusive.'"<br />

^^vf^oi 7. Section 43 of the Principal Law is hereby repealed<br />

chairman, secretary, member of the committee<br />

or oflficer of the society has misappUed or<br />

retained or become Uable or accountable for<br />

any money or propertj' of the society or has<br />

been guilty of misfeasance or breach of trust<br />

in relation to the society, the Registrar<br />

may, on the appUcation of the Uquidator or<br />

of any creditor or contributory, examine into<br />

the conduct of such person and make an order<br />

requiring him to repay or restore the money<br />

or property or any part thereof with interest<br />

at such rate as the Registrar thinks just or<br />

to contribute such sum to the assets of the<br />

society by way of compensation in regard to<br />

the misappUcation, retainer, dishonesty or<br />

breach of trust as the Registrar thinks just.<br />

(2) This section shaU apply notwithstanding<br />

that the act is one for which the offender may<br />

be criminaUy responsible."<br />
