A PROCLAMATION.<br />

Governor.<br />

Whereas there now exists in the District of<br />

Limassol a Mining Settlement known as the<br />

Amiandos Mine :<br />

And whereas it is expedient that the status of a<br />

village should be given to the said Mining<br />

Settlement:<br />

Now, therefore, I, Herbert Richmond Palmer,<br />

Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished<br />

Order of Saint Michael and Saint George,<br />

Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the<br />

British Empire, Govemor and Commander-in-<br />

Chief in and over the Colony of <strong>Cyprus</strong>, by virtue<br />

of the powers and authorities vested in me by the<br />

Land Code and the Village Authorities Laws,<br />

1931 to (No. 2) 1935, do hereby proclaim and order<br />

as follows :—<br />

(1) That from and after the 1st day of July,<br />

1936, the said Mining Settlement shall be<br />

constituted a village in the District of Limassol;<br />

and<br />

(2) That the said village shall, for all administrative<br />

purposes, be ranked as a village under<br />

the style of " Pano Ainiandos " ; arid<br />

(3) That tlje said village shall comprise the<br />

areas in the Schedule hereto described ; and<br />

(4) That the areas described in the Schedule<br />

hereto shall be transferred from the village lands<br />

of Pelendria and Moniatis, respectively, to the<br />

village lands of the said village of Pano<br />

Amiandos.<br />

SCHEDULE.<br />

Area transferred from the Village Lands of Pelendria.<br />

Commencing at a point on the boundary<br />

between Limassol District and Nicosia District,<br />

situate in Sheet XXXVII.45, being the point of<br />

junction of Pano Platres viUage and Kakopetria^<br />

village boundaries, the boundary follows the<br />

boundary of Nicosia and Limassol Districts<br />

eastwards for about 1 mile to a point situated<br />

in Sheet XXXVII.46; thence south-eastwards<br />

in a straight hne to the Fountain (Khrysovrysi)<br />

on the Nicosia-Troodos main road (Mile 44.2<br />

approximately) ; thence south-westwards in a<br />

straight line, a distance of 8,550 feet approximately<br />

to the Potamos-tou-Loumatou; thence<br />

following this river westwards and upstream<br />

to the Sawmill situate on the boundary of Pano<br />

Platres village ; thence due northwards along this<br />

boundary, a distance of 9,100 feet approximately<br />

to point of commencement, as shown on plan filed<br />

in D.L.R.S. M.P. 167/36.<br />

Area transferred from the Village lands of Moniatis.^<br />

Commencing at the Fountain (Khrysovrysi)<br />

situated on the Nicosia-Troodos main road<br />

(Mile 44.2 approximately) the boundary goes in a<br />

straight line due south a distance of 6,000 feet<br />

approximately to the Potamos-tou-Loumatou;<br />

thence follo^^'ing this river westerly and upstream<br />

to a point situate about 1,200 feet downstream<br />

from the Sawmill, Sheet XXXVII.61 ; thence in<br />

a straight line north-easterly, a distance of 8,550<br />

feet approximately to point of commencement, as<br />

shown on plan filed m D.L.R.S. M.P. 167/36.<br />
