1935, a fit and proper site has been registered in the<br />

books of the Land Registry Office as a burial-ground<br />

for the burial of the dead by the Orthodox-Christian<br />

Community of the town of Nicosia, in the District of<br />

Nicosia :<br />

ACTING APPOINTMENTS.<br />

Xow, therefore, in exercise of the powers vested in<br />

the Governor by section 14 of the Burials Law, 1896,<br />

His Excellency the Acting Governor has been pleased<br />

to order and hereby orders that, from and after the 1st<br />

day of January, 1937, no burial shall take place in the<br />

burial-ground in lieu whereof the new burial-ground<br />

above referred to has been provided.<br />

Dr. G. M. Gibbon, Distriot Medical Officer, to act as<br />

Specialist (Surgeon), in addition to his own duties,<br />

during the absence of Dr. C. C. H. Cuff from 20tli<br />
