No. 422. Language Examinations.
it is hereby notitied that, in accordance with the
Xotitication No. 1248, published in the Cyprus Gazette
Xo. 2470 of IHth October, 1935. examinations in
Modem e held as follows :—
Thoraday, 21st May.—Greek and Tnrkish Preliminary
(inclnding the Special Preliminary E.xamination
preseril>ed for certain officers of the Cyprus
police Force).
Friday. 22nd ilay.—Greek and Turkish Ordinary
(including the Special Ordinary Examination
l'rcs(ril>ed for ceitain officers of the Agricultural
and Forest Dei^artments).
2. Admission will be limited tf) British Officers who
are required by the terms of their appointment to pass
an Examination in (Jreek or Turkish.
3. The Examinations will begin at 9 a.m. each day
at the Education Office.
4. Applications to attend any of these examinations
sliould l>e sent to the Director of Education through
the Head of the candidate's Department not laterthan
16th May. stating exactly which examination the
cjmdidate wishes to take.

No. 423. Notification under the PubUc Health
(VUlages) Law, 1892.
ll !> hereby notitied that in exercise of the powers
delegated to him by His Exeellency the Acting
(Jovernor under Notification No. 693, in the CI/IHHS
(uizflli No. 245(» of tbe 2lst June, 1935, the Commissioner
of Kyrenia has received a petition, dated
the 19th February, 1936, signed by two-thirdsof the
tax-payers of the village of Dhiorios, in the
District, of Kyrenia, asking for the application of rhe
Publir Health (Villages) Law. ls92, to that village.
In aeeordance with its pro\ isions. the said Law will
be in full force and effect in icspect of the said village
of Dhiorios as from this day.

The attention of the public is invited to the

(Quarantine Law, r.i32, and pubhshed in the Cgprus
(iazcffc of the 24th Ajn-il, 19:>6, whereby it was
