A LAW FURTHER TO AMEND THE LAW RELATING T6
TOBACCO.

BE it enacted by His Excellency the Governor and
Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Cyprus as
follows:—
1. This Law may be cited as the Tobacco (Amendment) short title.
Law, 1936, and shall be read as one with the Tobacco
Laws, 1932 to (No. 2) 1935, (hereinafter called "the 40of 1932.
Principal Law"), and the Principal Law and this Law 39of 1933,
may together be cited as the Tobacco Laws, 1932 to 1936. ?of 1935!

2. The Principal Law is hereby amended by the insertion of
insertion immediately after section 40 of the following 4S^i^®t2e^
section : Principal
Law.
"Two drams 40A.—(1) Notwithstanding anything in
pac e 3, section 40 contained, the Comptroller may grant
to any manufacturer of tobacco a special licence
to pack and sell manufactured tobacco in
packets each containing a net weight of manufactured
tobacco of two drams subject to the
following conditions, that is to say—
(a) that the manufacturer has purchased
Cyprus grown tobacco subsequent to the
1st day of January, 1935 ;
(b) that the total issues at any time from the
factory of manufactured tobacco in packets
of two drams shall not exceed in weight
the total weight of Cyprus grown tobacco
purchased between the 1st day of January,
1935, and that date.

(2) The number of cigarettes contained in
any packet of manufactured tobacco of two
drams shall not exceed eight.
