the Construction of Buildings, Streets and Welk
on Arazi Mirie Law, 1927, His Excellenc}- the
Governor is pleased to order and it is hereby ordered
as follow s :—
That the area of land situated within the
municipal Urnits of the Town of Famagusta,
as described in the Schedule hereto, having
been set aside as a street with the approval
of and on the recommendation and report of
the Building Committee of the Town of
Famagusta, be constructed as a street by or
under the supervision of the Municipal
Corporation of the Town of Famagusta at the
cost of the owners of plots or buildings adjacent
to such street as provided by the said Law.

The area of land generaUy 25 feet wide and
approximately 1,626 feet long, which is situated
within the municipal limits of Famagusta, Varosha

11 of the Antiquities Law. 1935, His ExceUency^
the Govemor has been pleased to order and hereby
orders as follows :—
From and after the date hereof no building
shall be erected, reconstructed or repaired and
no tree shall be fielled within the areas specified
in the Schedule hereto situate within, on, and
without the ancient defences of Nicosia, save
in accordance with the terms of a permit in
WTiting from the Commissioner of the District
erf Nicosia previously obtained.
SCHEDULE.
AREA "A" (within the ancient defences of Nicosia) :
Area " A " consists of the following portions^
all situated in the Ayia So{^a Quarter :—
(1) All that area bounded on the north by private
property, dn tbe east by Mufti Assim Eff. Street,
and on the south and west by Old PoUce Street.
This portion, being the whole of plots Nos. 7,
7/4,7/5,7/6 and 7/7, Block No. 9, Nicosia, comprises-
1 donum, 1 evlek and 2,160 square feet approximately.
(2) All that area, bounded on the north and east
by Idadi Street, on the south by Ayia Sophia
Street and on the west by Mufti Assim Eff. Street
and by private property.
This portion, being the whole of plots Nos. 115,
111, 116, 116/1 and 116/2, Block No. 8, Nicosia,
comprises 2 donums, 1 evlek and 600 square feet
apj^roximately.
(3) All that area, bounded on the north by
private property, on the east by Mufti Hilmi Eff.
Street, on the south by Ayia Sophia Street, and on

Zuhdi Zade Street, on the east and south-east by
private property, and on the south-wept by
Kutubkhane Street.
This portion, being the whole of plots Nos. 87
and 88, Block No. 15, Nicosia, comprises 1 evlek
and 720 square feet approximately,
(6) All that area, bounded on the north by
Ayia Sophia Street, Saint Nicholaos, Moslem burial
ground, the Chapter House, Kutubkhane Street,
on the east by the latter street and by private
property, on the south by Municipal Market Street,
and by private property and on the west by
Goldsmiths' Street.
