(c) the certificates of competency and
licences of its personnel;
(d) its joumey log-book in all cases in which
the joumey log-book is required under
this Order to be carried in the aircraft;
(c) any licence to use wireless apparatus
in the aircraft for the time being
in force ;
(f) if it is engaged in intemational
navigation and carries passengers, a Ust
of their names ;
(g) if it is engaged in international
navigation and carries freight, bills of
lading and manifest in respect thereof:
Provided that, in the case of a British aircraft
registered in the Colony which is within the
Colony and is not engaged in international
navigation, it shall be deemed to be a sufficient
compliance with this paragraph, except as
r^ards the production of the documents
specified in (b) and (c) above in the case of an
aircraft flymg as a public transport aircraft or
aerial work aircraft, if the person in charge of
«uch aircraft to whom any such demand has
been made to produce any of the said documents
shaU, within five days after such demand has
been made, produce or cause to be produced
the document or documents so demanded at
such police station as may be specified by him
at the time of such demand.
'(2) The owner of a British aircraft registered
in the Colony shall, on demand made by an
authorized person, produce or cause to be
produced, within a reasonable time, to that
person—
(a) any c^tificate of registration or
certificate of airworthiness for the
time being in force with respect to the
aircraft;
(b) any journey log-book and any other
log-book required by this Order to be
kept in respect of the aircraft wherein
any entry was made within the period
of two years next before the date of
the demand ;
(c) any Ucenoe to use wireless apparatus
in the aircraft for the time being
in force.
(3) The holder of any Ucence granted or
rendered valid under this Order and any person
required under this Order to be provided with
a Ucence shaU, on demand made by an
authorized person, produce the licence :
Provided that, in the case of a demand
being made as aforesaid for the production of
a licence granted or rendered vaUd under
Schedule V to this Order and not being a Ucence
entitling the holder thereof to act as commander,
pilot, navigator, engineer, or other operative
member ofthe crew of a pubUc transport aircraft
or an aerial work aircraft, it shaU be deemed
to be a sufficient compUance with this paragraph
if the holder of such licence shall, within fiv^e
days after such demand has been made, produce
or cause to be produced the licence so demanded
at such poUce station as may be specified by
him at the time of such demand.
(4) A pilot Ucensed imder this Order shall,
on demand made by an authorized person,
produce or cause to be produced, within a
reasonable time, to that person any pilot's logbook
kept by him wherein any entry was made
within the period of two years next before the
date of the demand.
(5) For the purpose of this Article the
expression ' authorized person ' means a poKce
officer, or a person authorized for the purpose
by the Govemor."
8. Article 25 of the principal Order shaU be
amended by inserting in sub-paragraph (6) of
paragraph (I) thereof after the word " certificate "
the words " OT the endorsenient on a pilot's Ucence
of authority by the Govemor to give instruction
in flying in accordance with sub-paragraph (c)
of paragraph (1) of Article 10A of this Order."
9. Sub-paragraph (a) of paragraph (3) of
Article 28 of the principal Ord^ shall be amended
as follows :—
(1) At the beginning of the sub-paragraph
there shall be inserted the words " who
contravenes or fails to comply with or ".
(2) The following sub-paragraph shall b©
substituted for sub-paragraph (ii) :—
" (ii) by reason only of a contravention of^
or non-oompUanee \^ith, any of the foUowiag^
provJMons of this Order, that is to say,,
para^aphs (1) amd (2) of Article 8, Articles !€,.
17 and 18, and paragraph 3A of Schedule V,
or ".
10. The following sub-paragraph shaU be
substituted for sub-paragraph (1) of paragraph 1
of Schedule III to the principal Order :—
" 1.—(1) The foUowing log-books shaU he
kept in respect of British aircraft registered
in the Colony :—
(a) for every aircraft when engaged in
international navigation or when &ying
on a regular line or service of pubUc
air transport, a joumey log-book ;
(b) in addition, for every passenger or goods
aircraft, an aircraft log-book ;
(c) in addition, for every passenger or goods
aircraft fitted with an engine, an
engine log-book, and if fitted with more
than one engine, a separate log-bo(^
for each engine."
11. The foUowing paragraph shaU be inserted,
after paragraph 3 of Schedule V to the principal
Order :—
" 3A. On the issue of a Ucence to an appUcant
he shall forthwith sign his name ori the Ucence
as the holder thereof with his ordinary signature."
12.—(1) This Order may be eited as the Air
Navigation (Colonies, Protectorates, and Mandated
Territories) (Amendnaent) (No. 2) Order, 1936.
(2) This Order shaU come into operation on th&
first day of January, 1937.
