(c) the certificates of competency and<br />

licences of its personnel;<br />

(d) its joumey log-book in all cases in which<br />

the joumey log-book is required under<br />

this Order to be carried in the aircraft;<br />

(c) any licence to use wireless apparatus<br />

in the aircraft for the time being<br />

in force ;<br />

(f) if it is engaged in intemational<br />

navigation and carries passengers, a Ust<br />

of their names ;<br />

(g) if it is engaged in international<br />

navigation and carries freight, bills of<br />

lading and manifest in respect thereof:<br />

Provided that, in the case of a British aircraft<br />

registered in the Colony which is within the<br />

Colony and is not engaged in international<br />

navigation, it shall be deemed to be a sufficient<br />

compliance with this paragraph, except as<br />

r^ards the production of the documents<br />

specified in (b) and (c) above in the case of an<br />

aircraft flymg as a public transport aircraft or<br />

aerial work aircraft, if the person in charge of<br />

«uch aircraft to whom any such demand has<br />

been made to produce any of the said documents<br />

shaU, within five days after such demand has<br />

been made, produce or cause to be produced<br />

the document or documents so demanded at<br />

such police station as may be specified by him<br />

at the time of such demand.<br />

'(2) <strong>The</strong> owner of a British aircraft registered<br />

in the Colony shall, on demand made by an<br />

authorized person, produce or cause to be<br />

produced, within a reasonable time, to that<br />

person—<br />

(a) any c^tificate of registration or<br />

certificate of airworthiness for the<br />

time being in force with respect to the<br />

aircraft;<br />

(b) any journey log-book and any other<br />

log-book required by this Order to be<br />

kept in respect of the aircraft wherein<br />

any entry was made within the period<br />

of two years next before the date of<br />

the demand ;<br />

(c) any Ucenoe to use wireless apparatus<br />

in the aircraft for the time being<br />

in force.<br />

(3) <strong>The</strong> holder of any Ucence granted or<br />

rendered valid under this Order and any person<br />

required under this Order to be provided with<br />

a Ucence shaU, on demand made by an<br />

authorized person, produce the licence :<br />

Provided that, in the case of a demand<br />

being made as aforesaid for the production of<br />

a licence granted or rendered vaUd under<br />

Schedule V to this Order and not being a Ucence<br />

entitling the holder thereof to act as commander,<br />

pilot, navigator, engineer, or other operative<br />

member ofthe crew of a pubUc transport aircraft<br />

or an aerial work aircraft, it shaU be deemed<br />

to be a sufficient compUance with this paragraph<br />

if the holder of such licence shall, within fiv^e<br />

days after such demand has been made, produce<br />

or cause to be produced the licence so demanded<br />

at such poUce station as may be specified by<br />

him at the time of such demand.<br />

(4) A pilot Ucensed imder this Order shall,<br />

on demand made by an authorized person,<br />

produce or cause to be produced, within a<br />

reasonable time, to that person any pilot's logbook<br />

kept by him wherein any entry was made<br />

within the period of two years next before the<br />

date of the demand.<br />

(5) For the purpose of this Article the<br />

expression ' authorized person ' means a poKce<br />

officer, or a person authorized for the purpose<br />

by the Govemor."<br />

8. Article 25 of the principal Order shaU be<br />

amended by inserting in sub-paragraph (6) of<br />

paragraph (I) thereof after the word " certificate "<br />

the words " OT the endorsenient on a pilot's Ucence<br />

of authority by the Govemor to give instruction<br />

in flying in accordance with sub-paragraph (c)<br />

of paragraph (1) of Article 10A of this Order."<br />

9. Sub-paragraph (a) of paragraph (3) of<br />

Article 28 of the principal Ord^ shall be amended<br />

as follows :—<br />

(1) At the beginning of the sub-paragraph<br />

there shall be inserted the words " who<br />

contravenes or fails to comply with or ".<br />

(2) <strong>The</strong> following sub-paragraph shall b©<br />

substituted for sub-paragraph (ii) :—<br />

" (ii) by reason only of a contravention of^<br />

or non-oompUanee \^ith, any of the foUowiag^<br />

provJMons of this Order, that is to say,,<br />

para^aphs (1) amd (2) of Article 8, Articles !€,.<br />

17 and 18, and paragraph 3A of Schedule V,<br />

or ".<br />

10. <strong>The</strong> following sub-paragraph shaU be<br />

substituted for sub-paragraph (1) of paragraph 1<br />

of Schedule III to the principal Order :—<br />

" 1.—(1) <strong>The</strong> foUowing log-books shaU he<br />

kept in respect of British aircraft registered<br />

in the Colony :—<br />

(a) for every aircraft when engaged in<br />

international navigation or when &ying<br />

on a regular line or service of pubUc<br />

air transport, a joumey log-book ;<br />

(b) in addition, for every passenger or goods<br />

aircraft, an aircraft log-book ;<br />

(c) in addition, for every passenger or goods<br />

aircraft fitted with an engine, an<br />

engine log-book, and if fitted with more<br />

than one engine, a separate log-bo(^<br />

for each engine."<br />

11. <strong>The</strong> foUowing paragraph shaU be inserted,<br />

after paragraph 3 of Schedule V to the principal<br />

Order :—<br />

" 3A. On the issue of a Ucence to an appUcant<br />

he shall forthwith sign his name ori the Ucence<br />

as the holder thereof with his ordinary signature."<br />

12.—(1) This Order may be eited as the Air<br />

Navigation (Colonies, Protectorates, and Mandated<br />

Territories) (Amendnaent) (No. 2) Order, 1936.<br />

(2) This Order shaU come into operation on th&<br />

first day of January, 1937.<br />
