1921 AND 1932.<br />

In exercise of the powers vested in me by the<br />

Seditious Publications Laws, 1921 and 1932, and<br />

with the advice of the Executive Council,<br />

1, Herbert Richmond Palmer, Knight Commander<br />

of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint<br />

Michael and Saint George, Commander of the<br />

Most Excellent Order of the British Empire,<br />

Oovemor and Commander-in-Chief over the<br />

Colony of <strong>Cyprus</strong> do hereby proclaim as follows :—<br />

<strong>The</strong> importation into the Colony of maps<br />

whereon appear any words or pictures which<br />

by suggestion or implication convey or are<br />

lik^y to convey the impression that the Island<br />

of <strong>Cyprus</strong> forms part of or belongs, or should<br />

form part of or belong, to any foreign country<br />

is hereby prohibited.<br />

Given under my hand and the Public Seal<br />

of the Colony at Nicosia, this 23rd day<br />

of December, 1936.<br />

THE CUSTOMS LAW, 1936.<br />

In exercise of the powers vested in him by the<br />

Customs Law, 1936, His Excellency the Governor,<br />

with the advice of the Executive Council, is<br />

pleased to order and it is hereby ordered as<br />

follows :—<br />

1. This Order may be cited as the Import<br />

Duty (Raw Materials for Leather Goods)<br />

Exemption Order, 1936.<br />

2. From and after the date hereof, raw<br />

materials imported into the Colony for the<br />

manufacture therein of leather goods for expcHi;<br />

and proved to the satisfaction of the<br />

Comptroller to be—<br />

(a) unobtainable from local sources at a<br />

sufficiently cheap price in the necessary<br />

quality or quantity for the purposes of<br />

any such manufacture ; and<br />

(6) of British Empire origin, where such raw<br />

materials are obtainable in the British<br />

Empire,<br />

shall be admitted into the Colony free from all<br />

import duties.<br />

with tbe advice of the Executive Council, is pleased<br />

to order and it is hereby ordered as follows:—<br />

1. This Order may be cited as the Import<br />

Duty (Raw Materials for Buttons) Exemption<br />

Order, 1936.<br />

2. From and after the date hereof, raw<br />

materials other than explosive substances<br />

imported into the Colony for the manufacture<br />

therein of buttons for export and proved to<br />

the satisfaction of the Comptroller to be—<br />

(a) unobtainable from local sources at a<br />

sufficiently cheap price in the necessary<br />
