(2) The present assets of the Library vest in the *
Committee and the expenses of the Library wiU be defrayed
. out of tHe income of the Library derived from the ^ources
enumerated in Clause 3. ,• , •
(3) The Committee is made a body corporate and may
sue or be sued in its corporate name.
; (4) Persons may become subscribers to the Library
upon payment of an annual o:: other sum prescribed
, by Regulations, and subscribers are entitled to |:)orrow
books, periodicals, newspapers and magazines from the
Library.
(5) A free reading-room for use by the general pitblic
will be provided by the Committee. ' ' )
' (6) The Committee niay permit any part of the
' Library premises to be used for lectures and meetings.
(7)'Subject to the approval of the Gover)nior, the
•Committee is empowered to make Regulations on a variety
of matters set forth in Clause 19 and may prescribe
fines, not ex ceeding ^2 in each case, for breaches of such
Regulations.
< (8) Grants towards the maintenance of the Library
Imaybemade—
(a) out of the Revenue of the Colony, by the Governor;

(b) out of municipal funds, by the Municipal CouncU of
Nicosia.
(9) AU penalties and fines recovered under the BiU
or the Regulations wiU be paid to the Committee.

ENTITLED
A LAW TO PROVIDE FOR THE LICENSING OF BICYCLES.

it enacted by His ExceUency the Govemor and
Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Cyprus as
follows ;—
1. This Law may be cited as the Bicycles (Licensing) short title-
Law, 1936.
2. In this Law, unless the context otherwise requires,— inter-
" bicycle " includes a tricycle but shaU not include ^"* *^°^
motor bicycle.
8.—(1) From and after the 1st day of January, 1937, no Nobioyde
person shaU use any bicycle upon any pubUc road, ^J^"®*^
thoroughfare or street unless suoh bicycle has been Ucensed liceSd.
