(2) <strong>The</strong> present assets of the Library vest in the *<br />

Committee and the expenses of the Library wiU be defrayed<br />

(3) <strong>The</strong> Committee is made a body corporate and may<br />

sue or be sued in its corporate name.<br />

; (4) Persons may become subscribers to the Library<br />

upon payment of an annual o:: other sum prescribed<br />

, by Regulations, and subscribers are entitled to |:)orrow<br />

books, periodicals, newspapers and magazines from the<br />

Library.<br />

(5) A free reading-room for use by the general pitblic<br />

will be provided by the Committee. ' ' )<br />

' (6) <strong>The</strong> Committee niay permit any part of the<br />

' Library premises to be used for lectures and meetings.<br />

(7)'Subject to the approval of the Gover)nior, the<br />

•Committee is empowered to make Regulations on a variety<br />

of matters set forth in Clause 19 and may prescribe<br />

fines, not ex ceeding ^2 in each case, for breaches of such<br />

Regulations.<br />

< (8) Grants towards the maintenance of the Library<br />

(a) out of the Revenue of the Colony, by the Governor;<br />

(9) AU penalties and fines recovered under the BiU<br />

A LAW TO PROVIDE FOR THE LICENSING OF BICYCLES.<br />

B E<br />

it enacted by His ExceUency the Govemor and<br />

Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of <strong>Cyprus</strong> as<br />

follows ;—<br />

1. This Law may be cited as the Bicycles (Licensing) short title-<br />

Law, 1936.<br />

2. In this Law, unless the context otherwise requires,— inter-<br />

" bicycle " includes a tricycle but shaU not include ^"* *^°^<br />

motor bicycle.<br />

8.—(1) From and after the 1st day of January, 1937, no Nobioyde<br />

person shaU use any bicycle upon any pubUc road, ^J^"®*^<br />

thoroughfare or street unless suoh bicycle has been Ucensed liceSd.<br />
