MADE UNDER
THE TREE PLANTING VILLAGE AREAS LAWS, 1930 TO 1936.
Whereas at a meeting duly- convened and held
at the viUage of Paleosophos, in the District
of Kyrenia, on the 5th day of April, 1936, it was
determined by the voters present thereat that
a oertain area should be reserved as the Tree
Planting Area ofthe village of Paleosophos :
And whereas at the said meeting the boundaries
of the said area have been fixed and described :
And whereas the Mukhtar of the village of
Pftleosophos has forwarded to the Commissioner
of the District of Kyrema a report, signed and
sealed by him, containing a description with
boundaries of the said area and stating that the
said area fulfils the conditions in section 10 (4)
of the Tree Planting Village Areas Laws, 1930
to 1936, prescribed:
And whereas the said Commissioner has transmitted
the said report, together with his recommendations,
to the Colonial Secretary for the
consideration of the Govemor :
And whereas the Govemor considers it expedient
that the area described in the said report should be
limited:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Govemor.
in exercise of the powers vested in him by the
Tree Planting Village Areas Laws, 1930 to 1936,
is pleased to order and it is hereby ordered as
follows:—
The area described in the Schedule hereto
is hereby declared to be and shall be reserved as
the Tree Planting Area of the village of
Paleosophos in the District of Kyrenia.
SCHEDULE.
The area lying within the following boundaries,
that is to say :—
The boundary begins at the most northem
point of plot No. 328, plan No. XI/32, looality
"Klimata," on the road from the village of
Paleosophos to the village of Sisklipos, and
goes south-eastwards along the northem
boundary of this plot and of plot Xo. 324 to
the most eastern comer of the latter plot on
the left bank of a stream ; thence south-westwards
along this bank of the stream to the
south-eastern corner of plot No. 333 of the
same plan ; thence crossing the stream to the
rocky slope running south-eastwards through
plot No. 369 of the same plan; thence southeastwards
along this rocky slope, through
plot Xo. 369, along the eastem boundary of
plot No. 338, the northem boundaries of plots
Nos. 340,1 and 367/1 to the most eastem point
of plot No. 367/1 of the same plan; thenoe
south-eastwards in a straight hne to the most
northem point of plot No. 70, plan No. Xn/25 ;
thence south-eastwards along the nortJiem
boimdary of the latter plot to the point due
north of the north-eastem comer of plot
No. 362, plan No. XI 32 : thence due south to
the latter point; thence north-westwards
passing along the boundaries of, and including
in the reserved area, plot No. 70 (part), plan
No. XII 25, plot Xo. 367 (part), plan No. XI 32,
plots Xos. 340, 341, 342, 343, 345, 346 of the
same plan to the most northam point of plot
No. 351 ofthe same plan, locality " Kolymbos,"
on a stream ; thence south-eastwards up this
stream to the forest delimitation line of Karmi
Forest; thence westwards along this forest
delimitation line through F.C. No. 71 to
F.C. Xo. 72: thence n(Mth-westwards along
the northem boundary of plot No. 136, plan
No. XI/40, to tlie road from the village of
Sisklipos to the village of Paleosophos ; tience
nortbwards along this road to the most
southem point of plot Xo. 200, plan No. XI/32 ;
thence north-eastwards along the westem
boundary of plot No. 201 to the road from the
village of Siddipos to the village of Paleosophos ;
tbence nwthwards along this road to the most
southern point of plot No. 210 ofthe same plan ;
