Governor.<br />

In exercise of the powers vested in him by section<br />

62 of the Customs Law, 1936, His Excellency the<br />

Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, is<br />

pleased to make and hereby makes the following<br />

Regulations :—<br />

1. <strong>The</strong>se Regulations may be cited as the Customs<br />

Drawback (Raw Hides and Skins) Regulations,<br />

1936.<br />

2. A drawback of import duty at the rate of<br />

ninety per cent, of the full import duty paid on raw<br />

hides and skins imported into the Colony and<br />

subsequently converted therein into dressed leather<br />

or sole leather shall be granted, paid and allowed<br />

on every consignment of dressed leather or sole<br />

leather which after having been converted as<br />

aforesaid is exported from the Colony :<br />

Provided that no drawback shall be granted, paid<br />

or allowed in respect of any consignment of such<br />

dressed leather or sole leather of less value than five<br />

pounds.<br />

3. Any person claiming any drawback under<br />

these Regulations shall execute a declaration in such<br />

form as the Comptroller may from time to time<br />

prescribe.<br />

POSSESSIONS) ORDER IX COUNCIL, 1928.<br />

In exercise of the poweis vested in him by the<br />

Defence (Certain British Possessions) Order in Council,<br />

1928, His Excellency the Governor has been pleased<br />

to make and hereby makes the following Regulations:—<br />

1. <strong>The</strong>se Regulations may be cited as the Defence<br />

of <strong>Cyprus</strong> (Consolidation and Amendment)<br />

Regulations, 1936, and shall be read as one with<br />

(a) the Defence of <strong>Cyprus</strong> (Consolidation and<br />

Amendment No. 2) Regulations, 1931, (h) the<br />

Defence of <strong>Cyprus</strong> (Consolidation and Amendment<br />

No. 3) Regulations, 1931, (c) the Defence of<strong>Cyprus</strong><br />

(Consohdation and Amendment No. 4) Regulations,<br />

1931, (^) the Defence of <strong>Cyprus</strong> (Consolidation and<br />

Amendment) Regulations, 1932, (e) the Defence of<br />

<strong>Cyprus</strong> (Consolidation and Amendment No. 2)<br />

Regulations, 1932, and (/) the Defence of <strong>Cyprus</strong><br />

(Consolidation and Amendment No. 3) Regulations,<br />

1932, (hereinafter together called "the Principal<br />

Regulations "), and the Principal Regulations and<br />

these Regulations may together be cited as the<br />

Defence of <strong>Cyprus</strong> (Consolidation and Amendment)<br />

Regulations, 1931 to 1936.<br />

2. Regulations 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 of the Principal<br />

Regulations are hereby revoked without prejudice<br />

to anything done or left undone thereunder.<br />

3. Regulation 11 (1) of the Principal Regulations<br />

is hereby amended by the deletion of paragraph (h)<br />

thereof.<br />

4. Regulation 25 (1) (*) of the Principal Regulations<br />

is hereby amended by the deletion of the<br />

figure "8," (line one).<br />

5. <strong>The</strong>se Regulations shall take effect and come<br />

into operation on the lst day of January, 1937.<br />
