Governor.
In exercise of the powers vested in him by section
62 of the Customs Law, 1936, His Excellency the
Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, is
pleased to make and hereby makes the following
Regulations :—
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Customs
Drawback (Raw Hides and Skins) Regulations,
1936.
2. A drawback of import duty at the rate of
ninety per cent, of the full import duty paid on raw
hides and skins imported into the Colony and
subsequently converted therein into dressed leather
or sole leather shall be granted, paid and allowed
on every consignment of dressed leather or sole
leather which after having been converted as
aforesaid is exported from the Colony :
Provided that no drawback shall be granted, paid
or allowed in respect of any consignment of such
dressed leather or sole leather of less value than five
pounds.
3. Any person claiming any drawback under
these Regulations shall execute a declaration in such
form as the Comptroller may from time to time
prescribe.

In exercise of the poweis vested in him by the
Defence (Certain British Possessions) Order in Council,
1928, His Excellency the Governor has been pleased
to make and hereby makes the following Regulations:—
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Defence
of Cyprus (Consolidation and Amendment)
Regulations, 1936, and shall be read as one with
(a) the Defence of Cyprus (Consolidation and
Amendment No. 2) Regulations, 1931, (h) the
Defence of Cyprus (Consolidation and Amendment
No. 3) Regulations, 1931, (c) the Defence ofCyprus
(Consohdation and Amendment No. 4) Regulations,
1931, (^) the Defence of Cyprus (Consolidation and
Amendment) Regulations, 1932, (e) the Defence of
Cyprus (Consolidation and Amendment No. 2)
Regulations, 1932, and (/) the Defence of Cyprus
(Consolidation and Amendment No. 3) Regulations,
1932, (hereinafter together called "the Principal
Regulations "), and the Principal Regulations and
these Regulations may together be cited as the
Defence of Cyprus (Consolidation and Amendment)
Regulations, 1931 to 1936.
2. Regulations 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 of the Principal
Regulations are hereby revoked without prejudice
to anything done or left undone thereunder.
3. Regulation 11 (1) of the Principal Regulations
is hereby amended by the deletion of paragraph (h)
thereof.
4. Regulation 25 (1) (*) of the Principal Regulations
is hereby amended by the deletion of the
figure "8," (line one).
5. These Regulations shall take effect and come
into operation on the lst day of January, 1937.
