the student’s secondary education (not
just this reporting year).
Only include hours successfully
completed within the CIP offered at the
reported CIP location code.
Report the hours to the nearest hundredth
of an hour. See Sample / Valid Value.
Report cumulative technical
instructional hours in which the
student received a passing periodic
grade during this reporting year,
plus all other scheduled technical
instructional hours successfully
completed (passed) within the
student’s reported program (CIP) in
prior year(s).
Base all cumulative successfully
completed technical component
instructional hours reported solely
on the student’s enrollment in the
reported program CIP (Field 6) over
the span of the student’s secondary
education at the LEA.
Example: 9999.99
Truncate to the nearest hundredth
of an hour. LEAs should use
periodic (e.g., quarterly) grades, not
year-end cumulative grades to tally
successful hours.
