Tales from the Past – Stories for the Future
Project aims to use storyTelling as a tool for groups of language learners, culminating in an annual storyTelling
festival in Wales. The storyTelling will be different in each partner organisation and could be through a range of
performance techniques. The process in each country will be documented and shared by means of video, photography,
IT etc. The motivation for the project stems from a belief that in order to foster understanding and harmony between
cultures it is necessary to know our own roots –this knowledge is often lacking in today’s modern world, leading to all
sorts of social and individual problems. This project seeks to attempt in a small way to address this.
