BERNIE - Building education resources and networks in Europe
This project will concentrate on the themes of human rights and citizenship within Europe. Students will be involved
in the production of an information pack which will give advice and information to those released from prison and
their families on matters around these issues. Each partner will produce three lessons per year on a topic to be decided
at project meetings. All will be published on a Website to be created during the course of the project.
The overall aims include examining common topics specifically within Adult Education which have National and
European themes, including responsibility, culture, traditions and music; establishing networks with partners,
enriching students’ lives by making them aware of the needs/feelings of others, and helping them identify as European
citizens with the ability to access essential information around the issues of human rights and citizenship in their
mother tongue.
