Literacy through Legend
The project aims to bring together organisations that are working with people with functional literacy problems in
different European countries. It will support two specific aims.
i) To exchange good practice amongst professional practitioners
ii) To pilot an innovative way of delivering functional literacy support to adults.
This latter aim will be achieved by encouraging adult learners to research local, regional or national legends and to
present information about their findings at transnational meetings of the partnership. In this way, the learners will
develop oral, aural and written skills, presentation skills and the accompanying growth in self esteem and confidence.
