Raising Ability of Parents and Trainers (RAPT)
This project aims to improve the consciousness of Parents to encourage them about how to raise their healthy children
between the ages of twelve and eighteen. Therefore, this project team plans to provide the following subjects to participating
families and trainers: The development characteristics of the youngsters between the ages of twelve and eighteen who are
growing as normal individuals but need special education:
o personal development characteristics,
o problems,
o needs,
o positive and negative impacts of parental behaviours on the personal development of the youngsters between the
ages of twelve and eighteen,
o primary prevention steps for the youngsters between the ages of twelve and eighteen to avoid major personal risks,
o important life skills to be acquired to the youngsters between the ages of twelve and eighteen such as selfrecognition,
self-presentation, being organized, communication skills, to be able to say ‘no’ when needed, problem
solving skills, and skills to take care of things on their own.
