Iqaluit and Rankin Inlet, increased ground time for the 737 in Rankin
Inlet by two hours and the discontinuation of scheduled services
to Repulse Bay.
The new Kivalliq schedule now serves the communities with two
ATR-42’s with only one overnighting in the region per night. These
changes will allow the aircraft to rotate more effectively through
the network from the Iqaluit base. Considerable savings are derived
from improved aircraft usage, enhanced reliability, reduced over
nighting costs and the elimination of a poorly performing route.
A key focus in 2015 will be to ensure that every department is
controlling costs and meeting revenue targets. The First Air team
is dedicated and skilled, with a deep pride in our airline and the

safe operations, achieving revenue targets, strict cost-control, and
the highest level of customer satisfaction.

À la suite d’une analyse de rendement de nos routes, des
changements ont été apportés dans la région de Kivalliq. Il en
résulte des liaisons aériennes plus efficaces, l’ajout d’un cinquième
vol par semaine entre Iqaluit et Rankin Inlet, une augmentation de
temps au sol de deux heures pour le B737 à Rankin Inlet et l’arrêt
du service régulier vers Repulse Bay.
Le service dans la région de Kivalliq est maintenant offert avec
deux ATR-42. Ces changements permettent une rotation plus efficace
des appareils dans le réseau à partir de leur base d’Iqaluit et des
économies importantes découlant d’une meilleure utilisation des
appareils en raison d’une fiabilité accrue, de la réduction des arrêts
de nuit et de l’élimination d’une route peu rentable.
