ICELAND The Icelandic public bcer RUV will end the SW relays of its main
newscasts by the end of the year. Since the 1970s, RUV had leased SW
capacities at the Gufunes Telecommunications Centre in Reykjavik to serve
Icelandic ships, and expatriates in Europe and North America.
The schedule is unchanged since 2005, that is to Eu: 1215-1300 on 13865,
1755-1825 on 12115; to NAm: 1410-1440 & 1835-1905 on
13865, 2300-2335 on 12115.

The Gufunes Telecommunications Centre is located in the NE of
Reykjavik, well visible in Google Earth
(G.C. are 64 09 06 N 21 45 48 W - wb). The centre belongs to
"Iceland Radio" a utility radio enterprise which is taking care of
air traffic communications in Iceland.

INDIA At my location the Indian newcomers on 4810 and 5015 are
interfering badly with the old freq "owners" Armenia and Turkmenistan,
respectively, during the early evening. SAH on 4810, no SAH on 5015.

FM SW) valid from 29 October 2006 to 25 March 2007 is now available in
their official site given below:
The following are the new stations of interest.Jammu & Kashmir:
Drass 1485 kHz, Kargil A 684, Kargil B 1584, Tiesuru 1602.
Gujarat: Himmat Nagar 1584 kHz.In the External Service section
I noticed that the new 7195 Mumbai is unlisted for Urdu
External Services. They may correct the entry soon.

INDONESIA 9743 RRI Sorong. OK signal strength, but poor modulation,
instrumental mx 0750, het w/9745, 21 Oct.

Suara INS is back to its old pattern of leaving the 9525 carrier on after
sign-off at 1400, tough luck for CRI in Russian, but the latter txion is
not planned to continue in B- 06. Oct 29 at 1349, SI with mx in the clear,
only one progr at a time! 1350 usual canned En ID with e-mail
and website for news,
but which is STILL unavailable. At 1412 and 1449 rechecks, the OC was
still on, way atop CRI Russian. But you never know what they will do the
next day.

4750.16 RRI Mabassar, Sulawesi, 0940-1005 UT. Local pop music at tune in.
Following a brief segment, the Qu'ran presented 0952 UT. This continued
until 1000. Afterwards, comments by a woman. Signal was fair.
