I'm sure one of you know the story here? (Ian Baxter-AUS, SW TX site shortwavesites wwdxc BC-DX Aug 30) The hexagon system at Taldom can be assumed to be for 261 kHz, as the site seems not to have any other system for LW except the stand alone mast in the NW for 153 kHz. In the hexagon system a wire is strung from the top of each outer mast to the center mast and another wire is strung from the top of each outer mast to both of its neighbouring outer masts, forming a mat. Each wire seems to have two small isolators close to its attaching point. Each mast is guyed at four levels in three (four for the centre mast) vertical planes. All this from pictures taken at ground level. The TPC chart says the maximum height is 850 feet.
