ID and freqs (9525, 15150 and 11785), but I only heard 9525, fair. Enjoyed hearing this EG portion of their broadcast. (Ron Howard-CA-USA, DXplorer June 12) IRAQ/IRAN New 7540 IRIB German and French to Europe. Since today IRIB uses for German 1730-1830 new 7540 in addition to 11855 and 15085, asking for reports on the performance of this freq. New 7540 produced an excellent signal on Sunday evening (June 11) as so did // 11855 and 15085 but, as Kai remarked, audio quality was better on 7540. Today (June 12) I heard another new freq - 11555 in Italian until close down at 0728. This was at excellent strength and with good audio quality too. Parallel 13770 was weak but 15085 good. So now we have Iran 11555 til 0728; KWHR 11565 from 0700; Pakistan 11570 until 0700, and WYFR 11580 all audible in this part of the band. (Noel R. Green-UK, dxld June 12) IRIB English 1930-2030 on new 7540, "Ex-what?": I guess the same applies here than for German 1730-1830, i.e. this is an additional tx, no freq change. The message from the German sce editors about this new freq suggests that IRIB engineering is trying out something here to improve reception in Europe, and so far it works quite good, at least here in Germany. Hence I wonder about the site of 7540 (which also carries French
1830-1930) and even suspected whether it could originate from a site abroad, but there are no any indications that would support this wild guess. By the way: Read by original remark about the audio low-cut applied to the 7540 modulation as rather 200 or at least 150 Hz. Dengi Komala/Seday-e Komala, Voice of Komala, in Farsi/Kurdish 1625-1835 and 0330 on 3930 Dengi Khabati Kurdistana Irana, Voice of the Struggle of Iranian Kurdistan, heard irregularly 1600-1900 and around 0330 on 4405 to 4415 variable. Dengi/Seday-e Kurdistana Irana, Voice of Iranian Kurdistan, heard 1600- 1900 on 3970 and 4860 kHz. (Rumen Pankov-BUL, BrDXC-UK via WDXC Contact) June 7 at 1730 tune-in heard Voice of Free Kurdistan in Kurdish on a clear channel 4675. Audio was slightly distorted. Their ID starts "Dengi Azadi Kurdistan, dengi....". After couple of mins Iranian jammer came to the frequency. Sign-off at 1830. Haven't heard them here during evenings for some time, but it seems the station is still active.
