BVB
P.O.Box 425, Station E
Toronto, Ontario, Canada M6H 4E3
(BVB Canada, wwdxc BC-DX Nov 16)
CHAD Rdf TV Tchadienne, 6165 from 2205-2230 UT on 13 Nov in French.
Sign-off at 2230 with National Anthem. Moderate. Sometimes under unID
station playing music. Croatia? Don't know if that's still on direct. Nice
catch.
(Liz Cameron-MI-USA, dxld Nov 15)
CHINA 3900, presumed Hulun Buir PBS, Hailar, 1339-1406 Nov 12, talk in
CH by M&W with the YL doing most of the talking; no pips or noticeable
break at ToH; tuned out at 1406 as the stn was fading away. Somewhat weak,
with spotty ham QRM.
(John Wilkins-CO-USA, DXplorer Nov 12)
9820, presumed Guangxi Foreign B/Cing Station, 1455-1535 Nov 8, QRM from
AIR-Panaji (1500*), after 1500 certainly sounded like listed Vietnamese
prgmng, weak. Mixing again with AIR at *1530. EiBi lists Xian here with
CBR/CNR-2 at 1230-1600 UT, but they do not list En at 1300-1400, for
"English Evening."
And see "Goa." Update: 1320 and 1340 Nov 11, hrd // 5050, in Ch (Cantonese
listed). Seemed to be a stn under Guangxi, but very weak, possibly AIR-
Panaji. Checked // for CBR/CNR-2 to see if I could detect them under
Guangxi, but the weaker stn did not seem // , so Guangxi completely
dominates now at this time period. Further update: 9820, CBR/CNR-2 (Xian),
Nov 12, poor to brief period of fair from 1025 to about 1045, mostly
talking in CH and some pop CH songs, 1027 noted their usual ID, "China
Business Radio. Your Radio," // 6155 (fair). By 1045, CBR had dropped down
and was instead hearing Guangxi Foreign B/Cing Stn, clearly // 5050, in
VT, playing traditional CH mx; signal continued to improve by 1055 and
could not detect CBR under Guangxi at all. Suggest that we need a positive
ID here or a clear // to be sure of what we are hearing.
(Ron Howard-CA-USA, DXplorer Nov 12)
5050, Guangxi PBS, 1058 Nov 11, end of talk by man, soft instr. mx, 1100
more instr. mx, ID by man, then talk for about one minute. Brief fanfare
mx bridge and woman ancr talk (presumed nx) past 1110. Best hrd in a very
long time, and het QRM from presumed Australia below.
(Dave Valko-PA-USA, hcdx Nov 12)
4950 Voice of Pujiang at 1405-1433 UT on Nov 15. Man and woman in CH
chit-chat, with sound effects, short audio clips, and an occasional pop
song. A few bars of "Take Me Home Country Roads" (not John Denver's
version) was played at 1405 and again at 1425 UT; perhaps this is the
theme song of the program; after each "Country Roads" clip there was an ad
that ended with the En phrase "SNG[?] Advertising, your better source".
Good signal, rising above the band noise and // 5075 kHz, which was just
fair, and 3280 kHz which was approaching fadeout.
(John Wilkins-CO-USA, DXplorer Nov 16)
