Actually, that is a "BBG 2005 Annual Report", and I quote: "A fourth SW tx
began sce from the IBB Kuwait Transmitting Station to expand broadcast
capacity to critical audiences in Afghanistan and Central Asia." [page 26
or 22]
So, that is a confirmation that tx KWT - 04 is indeed operational.
(Dragan Lekic-Serbia, dxld June 24)
Is a lot of stuff, 4.3 MB -- took download about a minute via DSL speed.
BBG server was not on service in past weekend days, but worked now, when
accessed at Monday 1200 UT time slot. Link works only at relaxed security
level on my FIREWALL, open all doors. And had to start Adobe dammned
software PDF Reader in advance first.
BBG site picture shown should be Briech/Tangiers??, -- but not Kuwait?
(wb. June 27)
IBB Highlights. Improvements to the tx in Tajikistan for broadcasts to
A fourth SW tx began sce from the IBB Kuwait Transmitting Station to
VANUATU 3944.76 R. Vanuatu (pres) at 1118-1210+ UT on June 23. One or
two men talking with occasional mx breaks to 1157, then choral mx and into
impassioned speech, sounded either political or religious. At 1210, a Ham
op signed on 3945 and trashed further reception. Signal had been fairly
good from RV, but could not read much due to static noise. At any rate, on
much later than usual 1115*.
Monitoring Times is pleased to announce two new radio hobby blogs
for DXers, from two of our authors, Gayle and Larry Van Horn.
MT Shortwave Central can be found at:

specializing in SW related information, late breaking news, freqs,
loggings, listening tips, press releases, pirate/clandestine, utilities,
and last min items that did not make it to either of Gayle's SWBC Loggings
or QSL Report columns due to space constraints.
For those DXers who enjoy military monitoring over the entire radio
spectrum, please refer to Larry Van Horn's Milcom Monitoring blog at:

Larry's blog covers news, freqs, tips and tidbits, as well as items that
did not make it to his Milcom column.
We continue to receive many favorable comments on the blogs, and trust the
radio listening community will find them useful and informative.
