PNG/INDO/KOREA/JAPAN Signal levels starting to come up between ~3 and 5<br />

MHz before 1200 UT. Signals on 2850, 3925, 2945, 3960, 3976, 3985, 3987,<br />

4749.96, 4790.06, and 4869.95 heard today. Still too weak for real<br />

details. Exception was 4604.96, Serui at 1149. Apparent church sce was<br />

fair.<br />

PAPUA NEW GUINEA 3315 R. Manus, 1030 Sept 9, fair with Saturday night<br />

music prgm with man DJ between songs. Took an on-air caller at one point<br />

talking about, I think, a local event. Carriers noted on a few of the<br />

familiar PNG freqs but this was the only one with a usable signal.<br />

RUSSIA R. Zamaneh, 6245 kHz muffeled signal of S=4 from supposedly<br />

Samara-RUS noted around 1700 UT. Signal was not as strong like Moscow and<br />

Armavir signals at same time, but increased later tonight. Channel was<br />

coordinated at HFCC conference in Febr to Irkutsk-RUS site, 250 kW,<br />

290degr. But was later requested and coordinated to Bulgarian sce of VoRUS
