The Russian religious station R Radonezh returned to SW yesterday on 5940<br />

via a high powered SW relay at *1800-2000* UT.<br />

This evening (March 02) I hear it on 5940 since *1800 with a fantastic<br />

signal, SINPO 55555 ! They began with hymns, then ID and telephone numbers<br />

in Russian, followed by a religious talk by a man. At 1815 a lady was<br />

phoning in maybe with a question and the man continues talking while I<br />

send this at 1820.<br />

SRI LANKA Sri Lanka puts clocks back by 30 mins.<br />

Sri Lanka will put back its clocks by half an hour and revert to the<br />

practise of having the same standard time as India after its 10-year<br />

experiment to save daytime failed.<br />

President Mahinda Rajapakse said the country will revert to its original<br />

standard time, five and a half hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time[rather<br />

UT], which the country maintained till May 1996.<br />

"The change will take place from the Tamil and Sinhala New Year on April<br />
